Mindy Mejia: LEAVE NO TRACE
Dragonfly Books is thrilled to host Minnesota author Mindy Mejia with her new novel Leave No Trace. Set in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota, Leave No Trace is a riveting and suspenseful thriller. Mejia will talk about Leave No Trace and sign books on Sunday, October 7 at 4:00 pm at Dragonfly Books.
Mindy Mejia is the author of the critically acclaimed novel Everything You Want Me to Be (Atria 2017) and The Dragon Keeper (Ashland Creek Press 2012). In Leave No Trace (Atria 2018) Mejia weaves a mystery a decade in the making.
Ten years ago a man and his son trekked into the wilderness of the Boundary Waters and never returned. Until now. Presumed dead in what looked like a bear attack, the son suddenly appears a decade later, ransacking an outfitter store. Violent and uncommunicative, its up to Maya Stark, assistant language therapist at a psychiatric facility, to connect with her high-profile patient. But Maya has secrets of her own, and as she’s drawn closer to the enigmatic young man, she’ll risk everything to help him.
Beautifully written with vivid details and complex characters, Leave No Trace holds readers riveted to each twist and turn of Mejia’s haunting story.
Mindy Mejia received a BA from the University of Minnesota and her MFA from Hamline University. Apart from brief stops in Iowa City and Galway, she’s lived in the Twin Cities her entire life and held a succession of jobs from an apple orchard laborer to a global credit manager. Her novel Everything You Want Me to Be received a Booklist Starred Review.
Everyone is invited to this free author talk at Dragonfly Books. If you find that you can't make it to the event but would still like to purchase one of Mejia’s books, just give Dragonfly Books a call at 563-382-4275. One of our staff will be glad to reserve a book and have it autographed for you.
