	Our Store Dragonfly Books is a family owned and run bookstore.  We opened our doors in February, 2011.  We celebrate our store anniversary on the first day of spring, March 20th.   Customer service plays a big role at Dragonfly Books: if you don’t see a title that you are looking for, we will do our best to track it down for you.

The Dragonfly motif

Many people have asked where the name, Dragonfly Books, came from.   The dragonfly motif is a common motif in the Arts & Craft and mission style.  The symbolism, as stated by The Roycroft Copper Shop, is:

The Dragonfly's brilliant colors, when refracted from sunlight, are symbolic of "seeing the light", a way of encouraging one to reach for their full potential in all their endeavors. It symbolizes strength, courage, happiness and renewal after a great hardship.

We thought this was fitting as we embarked on the new adventure of bringing a bookstore to the Decorah area.
